Rudeen Ranch Hummingbird Roundup

Sunday, June 2nd, 2019

Due to overwhelming demand we'll be issuing free tickets to the event next year.  Our facilities just can't support the number of people who want to attend the event.  In 2018 we had over 1200 people visit our house.  We'll announce when and where you can get a ticket on our news page (probably in January).

What is the Hummingbird Roundup?

Few things are as stunning as a hummingbird in flight. The opportunity to see these animals up close is an intimate experience. Since 2003, we have been researching aspects of hummingbird biology by banding the hummingbirds at Rudeen Ranch, in Power County, Idaho.

Check us out in the episode Birders, Banders, and Binoculars on Outdoor Idaho!

How to get there?

While the banding event location isn't openly advertised year-round, we will post the  Location (click here) to this website a month before the event.
